Your website is the hub of your business online is the virtual representation of your company if your company exists physically or not. When you are doing business online, people can not physically see, as how I could do it if it was an online business. Therefore, people judge you by their covers. This is where good design comes in.

Imagine if you are running a business online. Would you allow your salespeople to be dressed in shabby or casual clothes when it comes to your customers? Making your staff wear professionally, you are telling your customers that care about quality. This works only because first impressions matter.

Similarly, the same case with your website. If your website is put together poorly and looks like a 5 minute “quick fix”, you are literally shouting to your visitors who are not professionals and do not care about quality. The key is good design of your web.

Conversely, if you have a totally professional  good design, you are giving your visitors the perception that you have given meticulous attention to detail and professionalism is concerned. Are organized, focused and really mean it.

On the other hand, should also have anything related to your company well designed. Business cards, letterheads promotional brochures, all matters little. This is because as your business grows, these items become the face of your business. Again, think of the “salesperson dressed in rags” analogy, and you get my point (about good design of a web)
